Also Project Censored recently announced Lindorff is a winner of one of this year's "Most Censored Stories" awards. It's for his 2003 story in Salon magazine,"Oiling up the Draft Machine." Other winners include journalists Amy Goodman, Juan Gonzales and Greg Palast.

Another book by Lindorff is Killing Time, on the controversial death penalty case of Mumia Abu-Jamal, Philadelphia journalist and former Black Panther Party leader who has been on Pennsylvania's death row for the past two decades.  A graduate of Columbia  University's Graduate School of Journalism and a former  Fulbright Scholar, Lindorff spent two years living in China  and five years as a correspondent for Businessweek based in Hong Kong. He has written for such publications as Atlantic,  Harpers, the Nation, Rolling Stone, Mother Jones and  Businessweek, and is the author of "Marketplace Medicine:  The Rise of the For-Profit Hospital Chains" (Bantam Books,  1992), an expose of the for-profit hospital  industry.

Lindorff is available to speak on the Bush Administration's assault on civil liberties, the TIPS program, investigative journalism, the Abu-Jamal case, the death penalty and on Chinese politics, society  and media.

Dave holds a BA in Chinese from  Wesleyan University (1972), and MS in Journalism from  Columbia University (1975), and was a Knight Bagehot Fellow  in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University  (1979).
